I am taking part in The Great Wall Adventure as part of Team China and the Telethon Adventurers and have committed to raise money for the cause as part of my participation.
I've created this page because I want to help the Telethon Adventurers make a difference…..One Adventure at a time!
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about The Telethon Adventurers, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.
Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
I am a Perth girl through and through, born and lived in Perth all my life. I have travelled to quite a few interesting and beautiful places around the world, but always love coming home to Perth. I live here with my husband and 2 children along with most of our family also in Perth.
Both my husband and I have had our fair share of life-threatening illnesses which we have both been lucky enough to live to tell the tales. We are blessed with two children that are healthy and have not required any extensive visits to PMH (although there have been quite a few late night visits and urgent runs over the years!). We are very grateful to have such a great children’s hospital nearby.
Life right now is super busy as I juggle family life and part-time work along with trying to fit in as many fun things along the way.
My Reason for becoming an Adventurer
I first met Rick and Emily Parish at a dinner in 2012 where Rick spoke to the group about why he and Emily had launched Telethon Adventurers and all about Elliot. My amazing friend Moira Clay had signed up to do the Chamonix Adventure with Rick. Then I was inspired again last year when my good friend, Karin Smith joined Moira and Rick to take up the Chamonix Adventure. Over the last 2 years I have watched these crazy, fun, and amazing people along with many other friends achieve some amazing things with fundraising for childhood cancer and conquering amazing adventures. Now it’s my turn!
My big adventure is to be part of Team China 2014 in September. I will be joined by my buddies Petina, Lisa, Mel, Karin as well as Emily and a group of others. I am very excited and proud to be a part of this group to raise funds for childhood cancer and to fulfil a dream go to China and trek along the Great Wall for up to 95 kilometres.
